Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Compliance Manager to join our team focusing on Financial Crime Compliance and supporting Libeara’s regulatory compliance efforts. This position is ideal for a professional with at least 5 years of the relevant experience in a regulated digital asset, FinTech or traditional financial institution in Singapore.
Responsibilities
Financial Crime Compliance
- Implement, and maintain AML/CFT policies, standards, and controls in line with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct financial crime risk assessments and oversee the monitoring of suspicious activities.
- Manage the end-to-end process of transaction monitoring, investigations, and reporting of suspicious activity reports (SARs).
- Stay current with regulatory developments and industry trends in financial crime compliance.
- Provide advisory support to business units on financial crime risks and mitigation strategies.
Regulatory Compliance
- Monitor and interpret regulatory developments relevant to the organisation’s operations, including changes in laws, rules, and guidance from regulatory bodies.
- Conduct compliance risk assessments and gap analyses to identify areas of improvement.
- Manage regulatory reporting processes and ensure timely and accurate submissions.
- Provide compliance advisory support to business units on regulatory matters and new product initiatives.
In addition, the right candidates will have the opportunity to help supporting Libeara’s Enterprise Risk Management function by:
- Supporting the design and execution of the enterprise risk management framework, including control testing and oversight.
- Collaborating with business units to ensure risks are appropriately managed and aligned with the institution’s risk appetite.
- Providing advisory and risk management support from a 2nd line perspective across key processes.
- Maintaining and update risk registers, and facilitate periodic risk reviews.
Required experience, skills and qualifications
- Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Law, Business, or a related discipline; professional certifications such as CAMS, ICA, are highly desirable.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in AML/financial crime compliance within a financial institution. Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks (e.g., MAS, FATF, OFAC) and risk management principles is preferable. Exposure to regulatory compliance work would be advantageous but is not critical.
- Strong communication skills and work ethics: Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills. High level of integrity, great attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Collaboration: Comfortable working as part of cross-functional team to manage multiple priorities and work effectively across functions.
- Intellectual curiosity: Intellectual curiosity is essential for this role as Libeara operates in a novel and rapidly evolving segment of the digital asset industry.
